Infinity
The figure eight, or lemniscate, represents infinity. Its serpentine form symbolizes the synthesis and integration of the creative, psychic, spiritual, and sexual. It is produced from the folding of one circle to form two, conjoined, one flowing into the other seamlessly. It evokes alchemical, reproductive, and ascendant energies. Over the course of a year, the positions of the noon-day sun trace a lemniscate on the horizon.
